Hi Friends and Fellow Circuit players.
The Dart Network is one of Best Methods to SPREAD RUMORS. It is fast, quick, and usually TOTALLY INACCURATE.
So, here is the TRUTH and you can all Spread these Facts around all you want, but anything else other than what I’m telling right now is BS and Wrong!!!!!!! If it’s not coming directly from MY MOUTH or HAND, don’t believe it.
The Circuit is 21 years old. I surely wish that I was only 21 years old, but alas, I’m a ripe old age of 70 and soon to be 71. This age my body feels and every year it feels it more. Since I started the Circuit, I have had 1 heart attack, 1 stroke, and a Quadruple Bypass. I also have High blood pressure, Diabetes, back issues, and a pacemaker, etc. My stamina to stay up late and yes even PLAY DARTS is waning. HOWEVER, my Mind and MY PASSION for DARTS is STILL STRONG. My LOVE for THIS GAME and the PLAYERS who I consider FRIENDS and FAMILY will NEVER STOP.
It is because of this LOVE and PASSION that despite how old I might feel, I AM STILL VERY MUCH INVOLVED with and DETERMINED to ‘Find a Way’ to KEEP IT GOING even after my body and mind are DEAD and Buried, so that MY SPIRIT and ‘The CIRCUIT’ survive after me.
One of the biggest negative issues of Developing & Running The Circuit (from the beginning) has been and it still seems to be ‘that if I’m not there personally’ players stop coming out to play OR START SPREADING RUMORS. This has made it extremely difficult to take any time off, vacations, a weekend, spend time with my wife, be sick, or almost die without it adversely affecting the participation at the tourneys.
While, I appreciate the LOVE y’all have for me and like the way I ‘Run’ the tournaments, I WOULD appreciate your continued support (whether I’m there or not). The ONLY WAY The Circuit will SURVIVE without me is IF YOU, The Players, continue to come out to PLAY despite my absence at the nightly tourneys and STEP UP to HELP keep it going. Without YOU, The Circuit does NOT exist.
I have always attempted to find competent and trustworthy people to Direct the nightly tournaments when I can’t be there. This has been a trial and lots of errors process. Plus, I am always looking for another ME. At this time, MY WIFE, Sara, has STEPPED UP to DIRECT the Nightly tournaments. I still keep the website updated, post about the daily events, but if you don’t see me at the clubs, it probably ‘MAKESIT SEEM as if I’m not involved anymore’ (hence the rumors, I suppose?). But, they do keep me informed of the exciting nightly drama, share player’s ideas, desires, thoughts, disgruntlement, complaints, and praises (if any). So that I can concentrate on having a LIFE (what I have left of it anyway) ‘outside of darts’ and FIND a WAY to pass The Circuit on to either the players (in some form of association) or a COMPETENT INDIVIDUAL(s) to REPLACE ME. I AM and WILL CONTINUE to be VERY PARTICULAR in CHOOSING my successor. In the meantime, I am behind the scenes OVERSEEING it all to insure the players’ monies are secure and is there to be PAID OUT to Winners and The Dartistry Championships, as I have since the beginning.
However, there is always the OPTION of CLOSING IT DOWN, entirely. Why would I do that? Hmmm, let’s say a LACK of Continued Player support for one – USE or LOSE IT!, BS complaints, continued false rumors, and DISRESPECT of the directors who are only trying to HELP keep it going. Please, don’t make me mad. my personality has a tendency to Take Away and Not give complainers what they Want and Rant about. Just ask my children and wife.
I don’t want to be known as the person who ‘Shut Down The Circuit‘. I would rather be a HERO and find a way for YOU ALL to continue to ENJOY The Circuit for YEARS to come.
PASS this on. You are ALL welcome to respond, share your thoughts and ideas, or STAND UP and HELP. Just STOP complaining and spreading BS Rumors and CONTINUE TO PLAY the Nightly Tourneys. WE WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED of any changes. Thank You.
